I graduated with a Bachelor in Science in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University.
I began my teaching career many years ago in Odessa, Texas. I moved to San Angelo in 1988 and was an educator and counselor with the SAISD for 26 years. I then retired, became a probation officer, and discovered that my heart and soul is teaching and working with young people. I was blessed to have been given the opportunity to come and teach in Paint Rock and am now going on my fifth year, my second as the school counselor.
As for my family, I am single and have lots of wonderful pets that I call my babies! I have two dogs, Rocky and CoCo. I also have four cats, Rascal, Precious, Izzy, and Pixie! I am the aunt to three amazing young adults- Haley, Carley, and Casey, and the sister to Mike and Mark Fowler. I am also very blessed to still have my parents, Skeet and Lou, that live in Odessa.
If I am not at school, I am an absolute sport’s junkie! I love the Houston Astros and the New Orleans Saints! I also spend most fall Saturdays watching my Red Raiders or any other college team that is playing. I love to fish, kayak, and hunt and be anywhere near a river or lake. If not outside, I love to curl up with a murder mystery and spend the afternoon reading.
